I have been married to Leslie for going on 25 years in May 2009, I am a Pastor of a local ministry in Brandon, FL, for 14 years. I have been officiating high school football for 23 years and have been a college football official for 6 years. I will let you know if I get a nationally televised game. I have been to Asia on a 6 week missions trip and Leslie and I have taken teenagers on week long missions trips to Belize, and Honduras. We both have been running a youth camp for a week for 15 years and a teen camp for 10 years. I also am the defensive coordinator at Keswick Christian School for 11 years.
School Story:
So many how can I remember them. First of all I remember the first time I saw Leslie, never thought I would ever have a chance to date her much less marry her, 25 years ago in May. Singing "Endless Love" to my wife our Senior year and singing "Elvira" with John Miller and Greg Prescott.
Football, there are so many stories, but the one thing I remember was when we were 5-0 in our Junior year and we played Pinellas Park, we had to drive down and score at the end of the game, I was playing quick guard and we ran 44 power I believe 12 times in a row, and I thought in the huddle if we run this one more time I am going to throw up, I don't think I can pull anymore. Then Hopper called the play and it was 33 sweep which was even worse because I had to pull and lead the other way. Long story short, we ran a few more plays, they were all 44 powers and finally Henry Bird scored. All we have to do is kick the PAT and we win. We didn't and lost in OT. The next story was starting in the district game that would have won us the district, we lost again.
Coach Wiz taping my hands and getting me fired up to play anybody even the 2 Behemoths from Dunedin high. Also remember him trying to get us all fired up to play at Bogie and we ended up beating up the shower and busting every soap dispenser off of the walls. (I think he got in trouble for that one)
Last story was Psychology class when Lisa Robinson (Asil) and Kiki Damron (Ikik) and I would call each other by our name backwards because we had just talked about dyslexia.
Oh I remember one more thing, any of you guys remember the big brawl at the Pinellas Park High parking lot during the JV game our JR. year? That was crazy, I remember some guy from Pinellas Park getting ready to take a bat to I think it was Bagby's van and Dave Kelly walked up grabbed the bat at mid swing took it from the kid and said "I think we are done now".
Ok I think that is enough, too many stories most of them are told at football practice at Keswick Christian.
